Recall work is free at the dealer, so mentioning one during an oil change costs you nothing and earns a lot of trust. Do-not-drive recalls show in red at the top. The same screen gives you one-click shortcuts to ProDemand, ALLDATA, Identifix, the manufacturer’s service site, and parts catalogs, using your own subscriptions.

Your download link and license key arrive in your purchase email. Unzip The4WheelShop to your computer and double-click to start.
Step 2 - Activate & Set Up Your Shop
Paste your license key. Then add your shop name, logo, labor rate, and sales tax rate. Internet is needed once, to activate. No internet at the shop? Email us and we’ll send an offline license.
Step 3 - Write Your First Invoice
Add a customer, decode their VIN, add parts and labor, and print or email the PDF. Already have a customer list? Import it first.

The4WheelShop runs on your machine. Customers, vehicles, invoices, and payments are stored in an encrypted database on your computer, not on our servers. We don’t store, sell, or share your customer list. If your computer is stolen, the data can’t be read.
And it’s yours, always: even if your subscription ends, nothing is deleted or locked away. You can still view and export everything.
Import your parts list from a spreadsheet and add parts to any invoice in a click. Shop Numbers flags parts you’re selling too close to cost, so the quiet leaks get fixed.

Is this a subscription?
Yes, $399 a year. That’s less than many shops pay for cloud software in a single month.
What happens if I don’t renew?
Nothing is deleted. The4WheelShop switches to read-only. You can still look up and export everything; you just can’t add new work until you renew.
Do I need internet?
Once, to activate. After that it runs offline. If the computer stays offline for about 45 days, a banner asks you to connect once to confirm your subscription, and everything keeps working meanwhile. VIN decoding of brand-new vehicles, recall lookups, and AI help use the internet when it’s available.
Does it read codes from the car?
No. Use your scan tool to pull the code, then look it up in The4WheelShop for the definition and common causes.
Does it include repair data like ALLDATA or ProDemand?
No. It gives you one-click shortcuts to those services using your own subscriptions. Recall and complaint data is built in and free.
Can I bring my existing customers over?
Yes. Import from Excel or CSV. Duplicates are skipped automatically.
What if I get a new computer?
Move your license and data with the built-in Move to another computer option. Every customer, invoice, and saved job comes with you, and invoice numbers pick up where they left off.
Does it work on Windows 10?
Yes. Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit).
Is it really in Spanish?
